“Byblos Bank Armenia” Abovyan branch has been designed with a new brand style which is located in a newly built two-storey building.
Each functional zone is distinguished by its unique color approach. The ceiling served as an element that gathers the interior. In the open zones it is left in its brutal form. The floor covering itself is also a divider of functional zones. In offices and waiting rooms it is solved by the wood-textured ceramic granite.
The color solutions of the first floor are dominated by brand purple, and the second floor is dominated by yellow. In the recreation areas and in the section of the staircase, MDF boards are used, covered with wooden plywood.
Rail lights are used for the general lighting of the area, and in the other zones, special hanging lights are used.

Explanatory report
The main disadvantages of existing building:
- Decorated with false-classical and false-baroque architectural elements on the south-east and partly south-west elevations;
- Emphasized small element of the main entrance volume on the flat and long elevation surface;
- Architecturally unorganized space between AUA hostel building and the designed one.
The design concept is based on the following principles:
1. Incorporating of a new level without distructure of the environment shaped silouete;
2. Demolishing the false-classical architectural elements and designing in one style with south-west elevation;
3. Designing the new volume in contrast (glass surfaces and metallic structure) with formed environment and simultaneously keeping the harmony;
4. Placing the staircases and elevator outside of the existing building and having more useful space for the offices;
5. Keeping the same axis for the main and backyard entrances. Thereby directing the movement towards Light;
6. Incorporating the ethnic architectural elements in a modern way.
